Transnational Government of Tamil Eelam (TGTE) is pleased to announce that Mr. Ladu Jada Gubek, who played a major role in South Sudan\u2019s independence will deliver 5th Mullivaikal Memorial Lecture on May 18th in Philadelphia, USA.<\/p>\r\n

The Memorial Lecture is named after the location called Mullivaikal, where according to the UN Internal Review Report around 70 thousand Tamils were killed and hundreds of Tamil women were sexually assaulted and raped by the Sri Lankan Security Forces during the final six months of the war that ended in May 2009.<\/p>\r\n

TGTE have declared May 18 as the Tamil National Day of Mourning of the Tamil Nation.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Ramsey Clark, Former US Attorney General delivered the Inaugural Lecture on May 18, 2015 and Alan Nairn who was instrumental in the independence of East Timor delivered the 2nd Memorial Lecture. The third Memorial Lecture was delivered by Dr. Alush Gashi who played a significant role in the independence of Kosovo. Fourth Memorial Lecture was delivered by International Lawyer Professor Heather Ryan.<\/p>\r\n
